Police: Help Tackle Police Abuse
We support Refuge’s campaign to see police force reform. Our data is clearly showing that victims aren’t always being well treated when they seek police help.
And then there are police officers who use their position to groom.
Like Refuge, we want to see the immediate suspension of all police officers and staff accused of VAWG in order to to protect women and girls from further harm by potential abusers.
We want to see radical changes to vetting and misconduct policies - safeguarding the public rather than officers. A consistent suspension policy will help root out police abusers. This will benefit both the public and police officers.

Police: Ban officers from watching porn/paying for sex
There is now unequivocal evidence that porn consumption and buying sex are associated with a decrease in empathy and an increase in attitudes that underlie men’s verbal and physical aggression towards women, including rape and sexual harassment.
NordicModelNow see the ban as part of a well overdue systematic overhaul of police culture.

Whistleblowing: help stop NDAs being used to silence victims
Campaigners including ?Can’t Buy My Silence’ had considerable success in getting whistleblowing to the attention of politicians.

The ask: Share your NDA story

Catfishing: Make toxic catfishing illegal
Whilst `catfish’ make up a tiny proportion of (adult) groomers, they are twice as likely to commit financial fraud.

Bumble’s leadership team worked closely with politicians in Texas, where HB 2789 passed unanimously in 2019. In April 2022, Virginia passed SB 493. The unsolicited sending of lewd nude images in both those states is now punishable by law. (Our part was only to encourage others to support the s¡campaign, as above.)
The Professional Committee at the College of Policing agreed that PINS and any other form of similar notices, should be removed from the police service. PINs were regularly being used by perpetrators to discredit victims ahead of them reporting. CAAGe actively supported the Arrest the PIN campaign, which did a brilliant job.
