“If I were a rich man….”

We are currently looking for funding.

Here’s what for…

Man sitting on piles of coins

To cover operating costs

As a volunteer organisation, we’ve relied heavily on our team meeting costs, which is unfair. Doing the work and paying for the priviledge seems a bit harsh!

These costs currently include:

  • website costs, including hosting and registrations;

  • email costs, as we’ve gone from a free gmx email to one with our domain, allowing us to send emails which are less likely to end up in spam boxes;

  • training costs;

  • mobile phone costs;

  • software costs;

  • travel costs.

To help us get charity status

Charity status will give us credibility when campaigning, will allow us access to products and services offered free or cheaply to charities and to apply for grants.

To allow us to apply for grants

With charity status we can apply for grants that will help us to subsidise support in somecases.

And with the extra money, what will we do?

In order of priority we’d like to:

  • help meet some counselling costs where victims can’t afford it;

  • engage legal support to help us help the people who come to us;

  • pay for administrative support;

  • pay for software and services that improve and expand the service we’re able to offer.

Transparency

However little or much money we raise, we want you to know where it’s going and what we’re doing.

We’ll be posting more updates on the website, we’ll be introducing updates for financial transparency (yes please to a volunteer book keeper!)…. let us know if there’s anything else you want to see from us.

You can leave a comment or contact us with your thoughts.

And…

Of course, if you’d like to donate, here’s the link (and thank you!!): Donate to CAAGe
